Otto Paul Poticha FAIA graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1958, where his classmates included Bob Frasca and Michael Graves. He worked at the offices of Perkins and Will in Chicago, Lucas & Niemeijer in Amsterdam, and Alden Dow in Michigan, among others, before landing at Wilmsen Endicott in Eugene. He struck out for his solo practice in 1963 with a commission to perform a major renovation for a local osteopathic hospital, completing a bank in Toledo, OR and many residential, commercial and clinic commissions before expanding his partnership in 1968 to include DeNorval Unthank, Jr. and Grant Seder. They practiced together as Unthank Seder Poticha Architects until 1986 and Unthank Poticha Waterbury until 1993. Poticha Architects is still in practice today.
