Equinox Design Inc. was a Eugene-based architecture firm founded by John
Reynolds and G.Z. “Charlie” Brown in 1978. They designed the Deadwood
Community Center & Firehall, the Lane Energy Center, and the Emerald People’s
Utility District Building (with WEGROUP). They were daylighting and energy consultants on the Eugene Water and Electric Board’s (EWEB) Headquarters building in Eugene, which is now Eugene City Hall. Their built work embodies their care for energy conservation and participatory design processes.
